Make Your Voice Heard: Attend NLC’s 2018 Capitol Hill Advocacy Day

Wednesday, March 14

NLC’s Capitol Hill Advocacy Day gives local leaders the opportunity to:

  • Meet with your Members of Congress and their staff to advocate for city priorities.
  • Share your city’s story and how decisions made by Congress impact your community.
  • Network with fellow city advocates.

Congress needs to hear from local leaders! Make your time at NLC’s legislative conference count by meeting with your congressional delegation during the final day of the Congressional City Conference. NLC’s Capitol Hill Advocacy Day provides you with an opportunity to build relationships with your federal legislators – allowing you to be an effective advocate for your community and cities nationwide throughout the year.

As a part of your Congressional City Conference registration, you can also join NLC’s 2018 Capitol Hill Advocacy Day for no extra charge. New this year, each attendee will be assigned to an advocacy team based on your congressional district. During the Congressional City Conference, advocacy teams will meet at a scheduled time to discuss logistics, review schedules, and receive leave behind materials.

On Wednesday, March 14, advocacy teams will travel together to Capitol Hill and meet with your congressional delegation to discuss the issues important to cities.

If you have any questions about the meetings or the scheduling process, please contact Ashley Smith, Senior Associate for Grassroots Advocacy.
